Caution: Patients with renal problems please be cautious and follow your nephrologist instructions.

Moisturize your skin daily to keep it soft and supple.and do not use hard detergents.

Use Sunscreen liberally and reapply every 3 hours and don’t bother having that white precipitate on the face. you can choose a broad spectrum sunscreen.

Its time to bring out your hats and umbrellas as they give a good sun protection.

If you get redness or sunburn just apply plain calamine lotion that will help in soothing the skin.

In the long run,UV light causes photo-aging in the form of brown spots, coarse skin and wrinkles, whether you have burned your skin or not. When sunlight comes in contact with skin a cascade of damage results (including the stripping of barrier lipids) causing inflammation, production of reactive oxygen molecules that affect healthy cell growth, and stimulation of collagen destructing enzymes. At Aura Skin Clinic we offer all kinds of treatment for photo-aging.

Enjoy your summer now....

Dark Circles & Tips on Improvement by Dr.Sravani Sandhya, Aura Skin Clinic Vizag

when someone promises you that dark circles can be completely treated, think twice!!! Dark circles cannot be treated completely but we can be improved with the latest treatments available…

what are dark circles?

Dark circles under the eyes (DC) are defined as bilateral, round, homogeneous pigmenion below the eyes. After exhaustive research and discussions with medical experts, we have found that your solution won't be found in a specialty product labeled with miraculous claims or a miracle ingredient.
Some of the factors are:

• Sun damage

• Leakage of  capillaries and deposition of heme.

• Post inflammatory pigmentation secondary to Irritants and Allergens.

• Genetic trait for having darker color around or under the eye area

• Shadowing due to skin laxity.

• Buildup of dry, damaged skin cells around the eyes, causing light to reflect poorly.

How can i improve Dark Circles?

Always keep in mind that for some people, getting rid of dark circles

entirely just isn't possible, so keep your expectations reasonable.

• Use a lightweight moisturizer with sunscreen (SPF 25 or greater) under the eye area every day(the overproduction of melanin that can make dark circles worse). This is a hugely important step that shouldn't be ignored!

• Always wear sunglasses outdoors.

• Use a more emollient moisturizer at night.

• Foundation and concealer will be of great help.

• Skin lightening creams can be tried.

 Medical options:

• Dermal fillers, lasers, light treatments, radio frequency treatments, and chemical peels for lightening dark circles and reducing wrinkles,

• Q-switched ruby laser is the most common choice for treating dark circles which are available in Aura skin and hair clinic.
